Welcome to Facing the Day. You're here because you are fed up with feeling helpless, confused about how to best to approach your grief, and desperate to restore some calm to your world.

You're in the right place. Facing the Day is my introductory, self-paced course.

I created this as the course I wish I'd been able to take when our daughter was killed in a tragic car accident. It's jam-packed with vital tips to help you navigate the acute and early phases of grief, to get your head above water and face the days ahead with more hope and purpose.

All of our courses are designed to leave you feeling less helpless and hopeless, and empower you to take back some control in this scary new landscape you find yourself in.


How to use this course:

This course has three Steps, but because we've designed it around the grieving brain, we split Step One's video into two parts.

Each Step has a unique video of my colleague, Dr Denise Quinlan, and I providing you with practical tools and tips drawn from the best of contemporary bereavement and resilience science, plus our years of experience working with clients globally. We've seen first hand what works for grief and are excited to share these tools with you. The videos are exclusive to this course - you won't find them anywhere else.

I recommend going through the three Steps in sequential order, but know you can always re-visit any of the Steps whenever you wish.

I hope you also enjoy the supporting materials - summarising the main points and providing you with opportunities for self-reflection allowing you to personalise the material - as well as the beautiful images created especially for us by inimitable and truly fantastic Ruby Jones.
